Situated in the foothills of the Himalayas in Uttarakhand, India, Woodstock School is an international coeducational residential school situated in Landour, a small hill village adjacent to Mussoorie town.
As a private nonprofit organization with Indian Christian Minority Status, Woodstock is one of the oldest residential schools in Asia. Woodstock provides education for students in kindergarten through grade 12, with a housing program starting in sixth grade. The Middle States Association, which granted accreditation to the first school in Asia in 1960, has granted it full accreditation. 2019 saw the official designation of Woodstock School as an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, complete with full authorization for the MYP and DP programs. It's also thought to be among the priciest universities.
Dr Cook has a wealth of experience in educational leadership, having worked at schools and in higher education in the USA, the Philippines and Indonesia. He has a PhD in Sociology from Ateneo de Manila University in the Philippines, a BA degree in Intercultural Studies and a M.Div. in Theology, both from Biola University, California. He currently serves as President of the International Sociological Association’s Research Committee on Sociology of the Body.
